Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente's Capitol Hill location. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT examinations of patients, ensuring accurate and efficient imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greets patients, confirms image requirements, and explains procedures to alleviate anxiety.
  • Reviews patient medical history, confirms consent forms, and positions patients for examination.
  • Operates CT equipment, introduces contrast material, and adjusts settings for optimal image quality.
  • Maintains equipment, examination rooms, and inventory of supplies.
  • Prepares patient information files and submits reports on examination data.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist with ARRT certification.
  • 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist or registry-eligible ARRT advanced certification in CT.
  • Venipuncture competency check-off or acquisition within 3 months of hire.
  • Graduate of a certified/accredited ARRT program.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Radiologic Technologist License (District of Columbia), Basic Life Support, and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Computed Tomography within 12 months of hire.
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, push, pull, and lift patients.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption.
  • Proficiency in applicable computer software and knowledge of customer-focused service requirements.
