Position OverviewThe Monitor Technician plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care by overseeing telemetry monitoring and ensuring effective communication within the patient care unit.
Key Responsibilities- Perform receptionist and communication duties on the patient care unit.
- Monitor telemetry systems and identify cardiac dysrhythmias.
- Provide support for patient care services to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Utilize independent decision-making skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director and charge nurse to enhance patient care delivery.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Completion of an accredited Health Unit Coordinator vocational training program and basic arrhythmia course is preferred.
- One year of experience in patient care is preferred.
- One year of clerical experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- On-the-job training will be provided, including rhythm identification training and EKG telemetry competency testing.
