Position Overview

The Monitor Technician plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care by overseeing telemetry monitoring and ensuring effective communication within the patient care unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform receptionist and communication duties on the patient care unit.
  • Monitor telemetry systems and identify cardiac dysrhythmias.
  • Provide support for patient care services to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Utilize independent decision-making skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director and charge nurse to enhance patient care delivery.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited Health Unit Coordinator vocational training program and basic arrhythmia course is preferred.
  • One year of experience in patient care is preferred.
  • One year of clerical experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • On-the-job training will be provided, including rhythm identification training and EKG telemetry competency testing.

Compensation and Benefits
