Welder 3rd Shift Position

Job Summary:
Wieland is seeking a skilled Welder 3rd Shift to join our team. As a Welder 3rd Shift, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of operations associated with welded assembly of final product, sub-assemblies and components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read, interpret, understand, and work from blueprints, schematics, bills of material, routing sheets, labor summaries and other written, electronic, or verbal instruction.
- Work with a variety of ferrous, non-ferrous and alloy materials.
- Operate various tools and equipment used in the fabrication, handling, manipulation, and movement of product.
- Utilize various types of welding equipment/techniques.
- May supervise machines that perform automated welding tasks.
- Be certified and perform within ASME Code regulations.
- Use measuring devices and visual inspection to ensure quality of product and conformity to prints, work instructions and standards.
- Maintain required records.
Requirements:
- Steadiness of arms and hands and make coordinated movements.
- Ability to read text, process and understand its meaning.
- Able to gather and retrieve information effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge of machines/tools and their uses and maintenance.

- Control precision
- MIG/TIG @ 6G preferred - 1 year of pipe welding experience
- Mechanical - Machines/tools and their uses, design, and maintenance
- Design - Techniques, principles, blueprints, drawings, and models
- Engineering Technology - Application of principles/techniques in production
- Production - Raw materials, processes, safety, and quality assurance
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- 2+ years of previous experience in an industrial environment preferred
Working Conditions:
Perform work in various physical positions including standing, kneeling, bending and reaching.
Perform work in heavy industrial setting with exposure to heat, cold, humidity, industrial odors, fumes, gases, chemicals, oil, grease, smoke, dust, noise, vibration, work from an elevated platform and working in cramped quarters, e.g., inside vessels.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) required for this position, including hearing protection, safety eyewear, safety footwear, face shield, welding helmet, welding gloves, welding sleeves/jacket, welding apron/chaps, and respirator if required.
Close vision, distant vision, color vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and hand-eye coordination.
