Job Title: Stage Propulsion Engineer

As a key member of the Impulse Space team, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and implementing propulsion systems for our cutting-edge spacecraft. You will work closely with a dynamic and agile team to develop high-performance spacecraft from clean sheet designs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own all aspects of propulsion system design, analysis, and implementation for our spacecraft.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and high-performance flight vehicles.
  • Perform analysis and detailed design to ensure hardware meets performance and functional requirements.
  • Lead design reviews and trades on major stage systems and propulsion components.
  • Develop and execute stage development and qualification test campaigns.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Master's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
  • Prior experience working in lead roles on ground test or flight propulsion systems.
  • Prior experience working with liquid methane systems.
  • Familiarity with NASA and DoD standards regarding spaceflight propulsion specifications and standards.
  • Proficiency in CAD software with ability to learn new tools.
  • Experience in a startup or agile development environment.
