Retail Dining Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Dining Assistant Manager to join our team at the University of Georgia. As a key member of our food service management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Tate Center Cafe, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and train staff, including full-time, part-time, and student employees, to ensure excellent customer service and food quality.
- Manage food production areas, including inventory control, ordering, and receiving supplies.
- Assist with scheduling, interviewing, and hiring of employees.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer suggestions and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Perform equipment maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Account for receipts and cash register requirements, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Participate in inventory control, including light to heavy lifting, and other work-related duties as assigned by management.
- At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in dietetics or food service management, preferably in a large-scale food service operation.
- Proven supervisory experience, with a strong track record of leading teams and achieving results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Valid driver's license.
