Job Title:

As a key member of the Ardagh Group team, the Finished Products Manager plays a vital role in directing the select and pack and carton departments to achieve optimal performance in safety, quality, and efficiency while minimizing costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee administrative tasks necessary for effective department management, including employee selection, development, and salary administration, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, striving for zero accidents.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to implement training initiatives such as Bsafe, HAACP, and food safety.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships between employees, supervisors, and other departments while promoting good labor relations.
  • Create an environment that fosters employee engagement and collaboration to achieve plant goals.
  • Participate in partnership meetings with customers.
  • Attend quality meetings and conduct customer site visits as necessary.
  • Participate in food safety, quality system, and customer audits.
  • Manage departmental budgets, including time, labor, and spending costs.
  • Follow established procedures for Requests for Expenditures (RFE) and plant-specific Purchase Requisitions.
  • Comply with environmental and food safety standards within departmental responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Five (5) years in a leadership role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • Prior experience with SAP.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification.
  • Prior experience working with lean manufacturing, kaizens, and 5S.
