About the Role

The Mold Repair Manager is a critical position within the Ardagh Group, responsible for ensuring the highest standard of mold design and quality containers for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and direct in-plant revisions to mold equipment to meet quality and speed standards
  • Inspect and oversee the correction of departmental safety hazards and employee safety work practices
  • Instruct and counsel on mold equipment revision and repair methods
  • Work with corporate and plant scheduling to ensure adequate mold equipment and related parts
  • Order mold equipment inserts, tools, supplies, and related parts
  • Supply serviceable mold equipment for successful production runs
  • Maintain records for incoming and outgoing equipment transfers and inspect inventory
  • Maintain attendance time and vacation records for the department
  • Monitor mold life and track inventory
  • Comply with environmental and food safety standards
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ten years of experience in glass manufacturing with emphasis on mold repair process, job changes, machine repair equipment, and management experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient organizational, analytical, and planning skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work in a heavy industrial, high-risk work environment
  • Ability to work outside of regular work hours
  • Ability to prioritize work and have a sense of urgency
  • Ability to travel up to 5%
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline
  • Fifteen years of experience in glass manufacturing with emphasis on mold repair process, job changes, machine repair equipment, and management experience
  • Prior experience with work order management database (i.e. Fiix)
