Position Overview
We are in search of a seasoned financial expert with a profound market understanding and a relationship-focused approach to fulfill the role of Senior Financial Analyst. This position is pivotal in assisting our wealth management clients in responsibly protecting, preserving, and growing their wealth. Collaboration with our investment advisors, clients, and other team members is essential.

The ideal candidate will engage with clients to comprehend their objectives and provide guidance to strategically achieve their ultimate financial aspirations.

As asset allocators, our strategy does not involve trading individual stocks; instead, we identify strategies that possess a competitive edge within each asset class. A comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by affluent families is crucial.

Key Responsibilities
This role necessitates collaboration with our investment advisors, clients, and other staff members.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Establish a relationship-driven practice, fostering deep, trusted, and long-lasting connections across generations to assist families in navigating life stages and wealth transfer decisions.
  • Support clients by taking a leadership role in managing 10-20 client relationships.
  • Independently provide investment insights and execute strategies for clients.
  • Oversee monthly financial modeling and database management tasks, including IPS targets and portfolio monitoring to proactively identify opportunities.
  • Manage the rebalancing process, ensuring error-free trading.
  • Utilize sound judgment and decision-making skills to challenge conclusions and delve deeper to ensure optimal decisions are made.
  • Lead the Sendero Guidance Process with clients.
  • Create asset allocation recommendations aligned with the investment team's targets and clients' needs.
  • Collaborate across all firm areas to ensure timely execution of client requests and needs.
  • Take charge of the request for proposals process.
  • Assume a leadership role in firm projects.
  • Participate in prospect presentations and assist in onboarding new clients.
  • Attend marketing and business-related events as necessary.

Develop a comprehensive understanding of risk statistics and various portfolio measurement tools to verify the accuracy of investment strategies and benchmark performance. Cultivate a deep understanding of global markets and possess the ability to engage in detailed discussions regarding investment-related inquiries. Lead, mentor, and coach a team.

Qualifications
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a business-related field (accounting, finance, economics, risk management, data analytics, data science, or mathematics) is preferred. A CFP designation is advantageous.
Required qualifications include 7-10+ years of experience in portfolio management or investment-related roles, strong knowledge of portfolio performance and rebalancing systems, and exceptional presentation skills in front of individuals and groups. Familiarity with Bloomberg and/or FactSet is essential. A Series 65 license is required and must remain in good standing. Active participation in community board(s) is expected.

Competencies
Experience with behavioral finance is beneficial. Extensive experience serving affluent families, including cash flow analysis, income protection, and asset protection, is essential. A deep understanding of asset allocation and market dynamics is necessary. The ability to build trust and relationships with clients and their families is crucial. Candidates must manage multiple tasks with acute attention to detail while working independently and consistently deliver results in a timely manner. Understanding and articulating the value proposition for all Sendero business lines is important, as is the ability to simplify complex topics and engage in active listening and probing questions.
