Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Insurance Strategist to join our team at Truist Financial Corporation. As a key member of our sales and business development team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our wire house firms, identifying sales opportunities, and providing expert guidance on life insurance products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to Director, Vice President, and/or Senior Vice President of Sales and assigned Firms.
  • Develop and implement marketing programs to promote life insurance products and solutions.
  • Assist in producing needs analysis, sales proposals, and sales illustrations.
  • Coordinate marketing seminars and maintain sales databases.
  • Correspond with current and new Advisors to answer inquiries and resolve problems.
  • Ensure applications are processed and verify issued contracts prior to distribution to Advisors and policy holders.
  • Develop a clear understanding of our wire house firms, their requirements, and Crump's supporting role within their systems.
  • Explain life insurance products, their differences, and the advantages of owning life insurance to Advisors.
  • Help Advisors identify sales opportunities and provide direction and assistance in selling life insurance products.
  • Provide details on products and solutions, including estate planning, insurance planning, and deferred compensation.
  • Communicate effectively with Advisors and clients in writing or over the phone.
  • Coordinate and present at training sessions and key meetings.
  • Interface with support staff for the completion and placement of life insurance with clients.
Qualifications
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a self-directed fashion.
  • Experience with PC's in a Windows environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products.
  • Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions.
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
  • Must possess and maintain appropriate FINRA registrations (e.g. Series 6 and 63).
  • Life, Health & Accident active license.
  • Three years of direct life insurance selling experience in the field directly with clients and/or five years of handling inside sales helping agents sell life insurance through a General Agency or insurance carrier platform.
  • Proven experience and ability to explain estate planning, insurance planning, and deferred compensation to a financial advisor.
  • Ability to develop a complete understanding of the underwriting process.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced designations, such as JD, CFP, CLU, and other industry credentials.
