Job SummaryThe Mental Health Worker is a vital member of our treatment team, responsible for providing care to meet the physical and psychological needs of clients through direct and indirect services. As a Mental Health Worker, you will work closely with clients, families, and other staff members to promote recovery, hope, and positive change.
Responsibilities- Provide direct care to clients, including monitoring, support, and education
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Document client activities, responses to interventions, and significant behavior changes
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and treatment planning
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless care and support
- One year of experience working with nursing or psychiatric clients in a clinic, hospital, or long-term care facility
- Knowledge of basic psychiatric and nursing skills, including nursing interventions
- Certification as a CNA or equivalent documentation of nursing skills knowledge
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Good communication skills and a desire to work with severely mentally impaired adults
The Mental Health Worker will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a diverse population of clients. The position requires the ability to work effectively in a team setting, communicate clearly and respectfully, and maintain confidentiality.
