Job Summary

The Mental Health Worker is a vital member of our treatment team, responsible for providing care to meet the physical and psychological needs of clients through direct and indirect services. As a Mental Health Worker, you will work closely with clients, families, and other staff members to promote recovery, hope, and positive change.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to clients, including monitoring, support, and education
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
  • Document client activities, responses to interventions, and significant behavior changes
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and treatment planning
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless care and support
Requirements
  • One year of experience working with nursing or psychiatric clients in a clinic, hospital, or long-term care facility
  • Knowledge of basic psychiatric and nursing skills, including nursing interventions
  • Certification as a CNA or equivalent documentation of nursing skills knowledge
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Good communication skills and a desire to work with severely mentally impaired adults
