Cash Handling Specialist Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cash Handling Specialist at Albertsons. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial transactions, maintaining a high level of customer service, and supporting the overall success of our store.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Transaction Management: Complete daily reconciliation, accounting, and cash balancing tasks to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Cashier Accountability: Monitor cashier accountability and report any issues promptly to maintain a secure and efficient cash handling process.
  • Administrative Support: Perform administrative duties using various computer programs to support the smooth operation of our store.
  • Payroll and Time Management: Review associate time records and process payroll efficiently to ensure timely payment and accurate records.
  • Compliance and Confidentiality: Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality laws to protect sensitive customer information.
  • Operations Coordination: Coordinate safety activities, service award programs, and other operational tasks to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Customer Service: Answer incoming calls and support front-end operations to provide exceptional customer service and support.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the office area to ensure a professional and welcoming environment.
  • Integrity and Adherence: Work with honesty, integrity, and adherence to company policies to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift items up to approximately 20 lbs.
  • Cognitive Abilities: Demonstrate good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Organizational Skills: Possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Technical Skills: Basic math calculations and computer skills required to perform administrative tasks.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and customers.
  • Independence and Initiative: Must work well independently and take initiative to complete tasks and achieve goals.

Work Environment:

  • Office environment with occasional travel requirements.
