Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and manage environmental and stormwater compliance initiatives.
  • Assist clients in adhering to stormwater regulations to mitigate pollutant discharge into waterways.
  • Conduct thorough stormwater inspections and develop comprehensive Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) and site stabilization strategies.
  • Perform stormwater sampling and desktop evaluations.
  • Provide on-site training for construction teams and prepare necessary documentation and reports.
  • Support various initiatives and special projects as needed.
  • Travel may be required, including occasional overnight stays and extended hours.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in an environmental field, sciences, or engineering.
  • Current QSD certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in SWPPP, including sampling, analysis, and preparation of Rain Event Action Plans.
  • Strong understanding of water quality management, stormwater practices, laws, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with California State Water Board Permits and the California Stormwater Multiple Application and Report Tracking System (SMARTS).
  • Knowledge of the California Stormwater Construction General Permit and CASQA Construction Handbook.
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CESSWI, CPESC, CPSWQ, QISP, PE, or PG in California.
  • Cross-training in natural resources, including wetlands and environmental permitting.
  • Proficiency in Arc GIS Pro.
