Pediatric Developmental and Behavioral Nurse

Albany Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Developmental & Behavioral clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, patient triage, and assessment under the direction of a practice physician or APP.
  • Obtain and accurately record patient vital signs, report abnormal values to treating providers, and room patients according to departmental guidelines.
  • Assist with patient check-in, administer medications and treatments, and participate in in-office procedures under the direction of a physician or APP.
  • Review and triage incoming test results, patient requests, and pharmacy renewals, and facilitate call-backs to patients as necessary.
  • Assist in scheduling patients for in-person and telehealth visits, and participate in nurse visits, including medication review, education, and follow-up.
  • Facilitate the utilization of resources to meet patient outcomes and contribute to Facility, New York State, and National Quality data metrics.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in a state-accredited Registered Nursing program.
  • NYS current RN licensure to practice professional nursing.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Certification in specialty, Ambulatory setting preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, patients, and their family members or other employees within the work setting.
