Job Title: Data Governance Policy Specialist

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Policy Specialist to join our team in Chantilly, VA. As a key member of our Prime Program Landmark AOS, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of our data governance framework.

Job Summary:

The Data Governance Policy Specialist will assist the information/data governance team in the formation and execution of data governance framework, policy, and standards. You will also assist in the implementation of an enterprise data governance and policy framework supporting the Chief Architect's office within the Intelligence Community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain an enterprise-wide data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data.
  • Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the Customer's principal information assets.
  • Serve as a liaison between functional technology areas to ensure that data-related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood.
  • Develop and maintain inventory of the enterprise information maps, including authoritative systems, owners.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards, and adoption requirements across the enterprise.
  • Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data-related policies, standards, roles, and responsibilities, and adoption requirements.
  • Establish and ensure adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for data policies, standards, and practices.
  • Establish and govern an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap, including strategic priorities for development of information-based capabilities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and nine (9) years or more experience; Master's degree and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
  • Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 6+ years' experience with IC, DoD, and/or commercial space architectures, systems, and/or operations with large-scale data or project management and oversight experience.
  • 3+ years' experience with industry-leading data quality and data protection management practices.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business, and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection.
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies, including communication, culture change, and performance measurement system design.
  • Knowledge of risk data architectures, technology solutions, data-related government regulatory requirements, emerging trends, and issues.
