Lead Patient Services Associate, OB/GYN

The Lead Patient Services Associate plays a vital role in enhancing the patient experience by processing arrival and departure activities with courtesy and professionalism. As a resource to other Patient Services Associates, this individual mentors, trains, and assists in the direction of daily operations. Working primarily at the front desk of an outpatient practice, the Lead Patient Services Associate verifies insurance, referrals, and patient demographic information, supporting the delivery of the Jefferson Experience through prompt and courteous treatment of all patients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Interact with colleagues, visitors, and other staff in accordance with Jefferson's values.
- Provide guidance and support to Patient Services Associates, serving as a mentor and trainer.
- Process check-in and check-out activities, as well as scheduling patient appointments via EPIC.
- Maintain an efficient flow of practice and escalate patient and provider concerns as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy and security requirements, as well as all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of three years of patient-facing healthcare experience is also necessary.
Conditions of EmploymentCovid vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at clinical entities or the University. If you are not currently vaccinated, you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to your hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
