Forensic Psychologist

Job Summary:

The Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court Diagnostic Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychologist to assist in ensuring the quality of mental health assessment services provided to youth and families involved in the court system. The successful candidate will conduct in-person forensic assessments, produce comprehensive reports, and provide expert witness testimony in court trials.

• Conduct various court-ordered forensic assessments to address psycho-legal issues
• Communicate findings to judges, magistrates, probation officers, and child protective services caseworkers
• Produce forensic reports on juvenile competency to stand trial, transfer of cases to criminal court, and allocation of parental rights
• Conduct clinical interviews and behavioral assessments of youth, including social history, mental status, and diagnostic considerations
• Interpret and integrate psychological testing results into work products
• Dictate reports using a digital voice recorder or voice recognition software
• Provide expert witness testimony in court trials

• Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology required
• Five (5) years of post-doctoral experience working in the mental health field
• Proficiency in psychological testing, including instrument selection, standardized administration, scoring, and interpretation
• Valid Ohio Psychology license or licensure within 6 months of hire

The successful candidate will work in a general office setting with moderate noise levels. The position may also involve working partially remote from home or a private office.
