Forensic Psychologist

Job Summary:

The Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court is seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychologist to join our team. As a Forensic Psychologist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations and assessments of juveniles involved in the court system. Your expertise will be essential in providing accurate and unbiased assessments, which will inform court decisions and ensure the best possible outcomes for the youth and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive evaluations of juveniles, including psychological assessments, interviews, and reviews of relevant documentation.
• Develop and implement treatment plans to address the needs of the juveniles, including counseling, therapy, and other interventions.
• Provide expert testimony in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with other professionals, including judges, attorneys, and social workers, to ensure the best possible outcomes for the juveniles and their families.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and legal developments in the field of forensic psychology.

Requirements:

• Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.)
• 5+ years of post-doctoral experience in forensic psychology, preferably in a juvenile justice setting
• Ohio Psychology license or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
