Child Psychiatry Counselor

The Milieu Counselor is a vital member of the multidisciplinary team at Cambridge Health Alliance, responsible for providing a safe and structured service to patients in crisis in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with daily living activities (ADLs) and lead or co-lead groups to promote patient engagement and well-being.
- Perform safety checks and 1:1 meetings with patients to ensure their individual needs are met.
- Accurately chart patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight, and notify the registered nurse of any changes.
- Assist patients with maintaining nutritional and hydration needs, and monitor their progress.
- High school diploma required; B.A, B.S., or M.A. preferred or equivalent years of human service experience.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Prior human services, behavioral, or psychiatric experience strongly preferred.
