Job Summary
The Cambridge Health Alliance is seeking a skilled Milieu Counselor to join our team in providing high-quality care to adolescents in our psychiatric unit. As a Milieu Counselor, you will be responsible for creating a safe and structured environment, attending to the individual needs of patients in crisis, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities, lead or co-lead groups, and perform safety checks
- Conduct 1:1 meetings with patients, accurately chart vital signs, and notify RN of any changes
- Measure and document patient intake and output, assist with ADLs, and maintain nutritional and hydration needs
Requirements
- High school diploma required; B.A, B.S., or M.A. preferred or equivalent years of human service experience
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Prior human services, behavioral, or psychiatric experience strongly preferred
