Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Tailwind Group Inc. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the value of our properties.

The ideal candidate will have one or more years of experience in building maintenance, with a strong background in HVAC and appliance repair. A valid driver's license is required for this position.

This role is critical to the reputation of our properties, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and provides excellent customer service to our residents.

About the Role
  • Maintain and enhance the value of our properties through preventative upkeep, capital improvement, and maintenance repair.
  • Provide excellent customer service to our residents, taking pride in the property and ensuring that all issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
  • Monitor residential sites, building locations, clubhouse, amenities, and other common areas for superior curb appeal, general cleanliness, and organization.
Responsibilities
  1. Review, assign, and follow-up on open work orders to ensure the work order is completed and accepted within company guidelines.
  2. Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and observe work performed by independent contractors to ensure quality product and service.
  3. Respond to after-hour emergency issues.
  4. Monitor maintenance trends and develop a preventative maintenance program to help minimize cost to owner.
  5. Assist with organizing and maintaining inventory of company vehicles, machinery, and tools.
  6. Assist with annual unit turnover and help execute move-in/move-out procedures.
Requirements
  • One or more years of experience in building maintenance – student housing experience is a plus.
  • Experience with HVAC and appliance repair.
  • A valid driver's license is required for this position.

The estimated salary for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on skills and experience.
