Key Responsibilities- Design comprehensive fire sprinkler systems for a variety of construction projects, ensuring all designs comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate fire sprinkler systems into building designs.
- Review blueprints and specifications to determine the most effective and efficient fire protection systems.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure fire sprinkler systems are installed correctly and functioning optimally.
- Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams during the installation of fire sprinkler systems.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed and accurate fire sprinkler system designs.
- Continually stay updated on new advancements in fire protection technology and incorporate these advancements into designs where appropriate.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and equipment selection.
- Coordinate with local fire departments and building officials during the design and installation process.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in fire protection systems design, specifically in the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools.
- Strong understanding of fire protection standards and building codes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Professional certification in fire protection design (e.g., Certified Fire Protection Specialist) is highly desirable.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Capable of conducting site inspections and comfortable working in a variety of construction environments.
