The Personal Care Assistant acts as a versatile team member, performing various tasks aimed at enhancing the well-being and satisfaction of our clients through assistance in daily living activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support clients with their daily living tasks
- Communicate ongoing care updates and results to appropriate parties
- Work collaboratively with clients and their families to identify optimal care strategies
- Ensure a safe and comfortable living environment
- Follow written instructions and perform assigned tasks
- Transport clients to necessary appointments
- Administer prescribed medications
- Document care activities and observations for review
- Respond effectively to emergency situations
Required Qualifications:
- Prior experience in personal care or related fields
- Empathetic and nurturing attitude
- Strong ability to establish rapport with clients
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Pre-Employment Process:
- Completion of fingerprint clearance
- Undergo physical examination, TB test, and drug screening
- Participate in new hire training
- Complete 40 hours of training at the assigned facility
All new hires will initially work as on-call staff members for a minimum of three months. On-call employees do not have fixed shifts and will be contacted as needed to cover various shifts based on their availability.
Available Shifts:
- Monday to Friday: 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm, 3pm to 11pm, and 10pm to 6am.
- Weekends: 6am to 2pm, 8am to 4pm, 2pm to 10pm, 3:30pm to 11:30pm, and 10pm to 6am.
