Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to laboring women and their newborns, including administering medications, performing procedures, and providing emotional support.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vital signs, and other critical parameters to identify potential complications and intervene promptly.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient preferences, medical history, and cultural background.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure informed decision-making and optimal care.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, satisfaction, and outcomes.
  • Stay current with best practices, evidence-based guidelines, and regulatory requirements to provide high-quality care.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery or a related specialty.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • RN License in the state of employment or compact.
  • Current certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN courses within 90 days of hire.
