Job Overview

NorthWestern Energy is seeking a skilled Meter Shop Supervisor to oversee the supervision of field personnel, manage electric and gas testing programs, and provide technical metering support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in metering operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise field personnel and manage electric and gas testing programs
  • Provide technical metering support and design metering projects
  • Coordinate with project teams, including substation, transmission, relaying, and communications
  • Support departmental activities and provide technical support for engineering, load research, and distribution operations
  • Ensure safe work practices and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
  • Engineering degree (Electrical Engineering preferred) or equivalent technical training
  • General knowledge or demonstrated practical knowledge of gas and/or electric metering
  • Prior supervisory experience and strong leadership skills
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
