Facilities Maintenance Specialist

As a Facilities Mechanic, you will be part of a team responsible for maintaining the Distribution Center. Your primary role will be to manage your workload independently and collaborate with colleagues to achieve high levels of teamwork.

  • Key qualifications include a good sense of time management, organizational skills, and the ability to deliver exceptional results with minimal guidance.
  • You will be an independent worker who takes ownership of projects and can work effectively in a team environment.
  • Additional requirements include a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position, mechanical abilities, and knowledge of conveyor systems and material handling equipment.
  • You will also be responsible for effectively communicating with colleagues and contractors to identify and resolve issues promptly.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install mechanical equipment, data IT, and surveillance systems.
  • Perform welding tasks on equipment such as conveyor systems, material handling equipment, elevators, HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, fire systems, and roof repairs.
  • Coordinate all Preventive Maintenance functions.
  • Touch up painting as required.
  • Ensure all inspections are completed within jurisdictional requirements.
  • Ensure location lighting standards are maintained.
  • Provide material lists for mechanical components.
  • Perform ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
