Position Summary

The Catering Service Team Member is responsible for the preparation, execution, and post-event clean-up of functions, adhering to the guidelines outlined in Parkhurst's catering manual.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner while serving.
  2. Adhere to all service protocols as per Parkhurst's catering manual.
  3. Follow event documentation, including diagrams and timelines, to ensure successful event execution.
  4. Timely collection of equipment, supplies, and food after events.
  5. Ensure all rented items are organized for vendor retrieval.
  6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of all catering equipment and supplies, including the stockroom.
  7. Implement the cleaning schedule provided by management, employing a 'clean as you go' approach.
  8. Maintain open communication with management regarding inventory and supply needs.
  9. Comply with the uniform dress code and uphold personal hygiene standards.
  10. Adhere to Parkhurst Hospitality Gold Standards, utilizing Smile Plus hospitality principles.
  11. Support fellow team members whenever possible.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential function effectively. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential tasks.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this position include:

  • Standing and/or walking for the entirety of the shift.
  • Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent lifting of items weighing up to 25 lbs.
