The Lead Consultant for Financial Services Technology serves as both a functional and technical authority, guiding clients in the implementation of ServiceNow's Financial Services Operations (FSO) solutions. This role is centered on best practices tailored for the Banking and Insurance sectors, with the primary aim of enhancing and driving business outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
The individual in this position will focus on addressing the most pressing challenges faced by clients. Responsibilities include:
- Acting as the main technical liaison for projects, representing the development team to clients.
- Ensuring the quality of deliverables from the technical team and serving as the escalation point for client concerns.
- Identifying and implementing process efficiencies within the technical team to benefit both the team and clients.
- Defining technical solutions that align with client business issues and adhere to ServiceNow Implementation Best Practices.
- Translating customer requirements into high-quality technical solutions and effectively communicating these to clients.
- Overseeing the development process, including writing and estimating stories, monitoring developer performance, and ensuring overall quality and timely delivery.
- Leading technical onboarding for new clients to assess their existing processes and platform configurations.
- Delivering purchased development artifacts, documentation, and facilitating knowledge transfer activities.
- Collaborating with engagement managers to monitor project scope and resolve critical technical issues.
- Mentoring developers and technical consultants on design standards and best practices.
- Researching technology partners or vendor solutions relevant to client integration needs.
Pre-Sales Engagement
Maintaining a robust understanding of the ServiceNow platform and its offerings is essential. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the pre-sales team in scoping service engagements that typically involve multiple ServiceNow products and complex integrations.
- Promoting ServiceNow Expert Services through contributions to whitepapers, webinars, and community initiatives.
Product Collaboration
Engagement with ServiceNow product teams is crucial for:
- Collaborating on new product service offerings and market strategies.
- Providing feedback on new features and capabilities to enhance product offerings.
Leadership and Development
The role also involves contributing to the continuous improvement of Delivery Services processes and the evolution of various portfolios, capabilities, and best practices in alignment with customer needs. Additionally, the individual will serve as a senior member of the Customer and Industry Workflow Practice for Financial Services, helping to define both short-term and long-term objectives.
