Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of production schedules, blend schedules, and batch sheets to ensure proper materials are gathered for production.
  • Support shift transitions and start-ups, ensuring a smooth and efficient production process.
  • Assist in prioritizing and coordinating workflow, delegating work assignments to team members as needed.
  • Monitor production to ensure it is run in accordance with production and blend schedules.
  • Perform routine walks of the facility to monitor production and assist operators in resolving any production issues.
  • Review production paperwork to ensure timeliness, neatness, and accuracy.
  • Administer breaks to line personnel as needed.
  • Become familiar with and understand sanitation procedures and perform sanitation procedures as needed.
  • Become familiar with and understand the Warehouse Management System and assist with problem resolution as needed.
  • Perform CIP and production piping connections as needed.
  • Monitor job tasks to ensure food safety and quality and promptly report any concerns or issues to the supervisor and/or Quality Assurance Department.
  • Summarize shift paperwork and generate Shift Efficiency Reports.
  • Summarize shift labor.
  • Alert the supervisor to any personnel issues or violation of policies and procedures.
  • Fulfill relief duties for shift supervisors or other leads during absences.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Display willingness to make decisions and exhibit sound and accurate judgment.
  • Makes timely decisions and communicates changes effectively.
  • Includes appropriate people in decision-making processes and supports and explains reasoning for decisions.
  • Manages competing demands and changes approach or method to best fit the situation.
  • Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events and reacts well under pressure.
  • Writes and speaks clearly and informatively.
  • Able to read and interpret written information and present numerical data effectively.

Requirements:
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess (or attain within seven working days of initial hire or placement in this position) and maintain a current and valid forklift and pallet jack operator's license.
