Job Summary

Facilities Maintenance Management LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in commercial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and install electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Place conduit and pipes in walls or other concealed areas and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components using test equipment and hand tools.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent apprenticeship.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the trade.
  • Knowledge of safety rules and regulations and client and company policy.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions using FMM's core values of Quality, Teamwork, Pride, Passion, and Integrity.
  • Proficient in computer, text, and email skills.
  • Proficient in using power tools and electrical testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Experience working with high voltage and low voltage systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical principles and concepts.
  • Ability to build and install electrical systems in commercial and residential settings.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Basic knowledge of frame carpentry for installation purposes.
