At Republic Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the collections activities in one or more lines of business, including commercial, residential, roll-off (industrial), and container delivery and pick up. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and General Manager to implement tactical initiatives that drive functional excellence and budget achievement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety: Lead the development and implementation of safety programs to ensure a safe and productive work environment for all employees. Identify and mitigate potential safety risks, and work with the maintenance department to ensure all equipment is in working order and compliant with safety standards.
  • Customer Experience: Provide exceptional service to customers, meeting or exceeding their expectations regarding the entire customer experience. Resolve unusual service requests, equipment breakdowns, and schedule changes with timely communications to all stakeholders.
  • Efficiency: Establish productivity goals, ensure adherence to operating standards, and manage labor hours and disposal expenses per established plans. Lead drivers to exceed productivity goals and expectations for all routes, and create, modify, and improve routes to maximize density and improve efficiency.
  • Employee Engagement: Foster a collaborative and communicative team environment, driving employee engagement with the company. Build and develop talent on the team, understand employees' career goals, and provide coaching to get employees ready for advancement with the company.
