We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Alameda Hospital. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and residents in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or clinic setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as meals, personal hygiene, and incontinent care.
- Respond to patient call lights promptly and ensure patient comfort and safety by adjusting beds, lights, and equipment.
- Obtain and set up suction equipment, oxygen, and other medical devices as needed.
- Assist patients with ambulation, crutch walking, and transfers to and from wheelchairs and gurneys.
- Take patients' vital signs, administer simple range of motion exercises, and position patients for examination or treatment.
- Provide one-to-one continuous observation and basic patient care when assigned as a sitter.
- Prepare examination rooms, weigh and document patients' vital signs, and assist physicians or mid-level practitioners during examinations.
- High School diploma or GED with additional training.
- Minimum of six months experience in a sub-acute or acute care setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Current Nursing Assistant Certification.
