Role Responsibilities

The Nurse Clinician in Outpatient Cardiology Services plays a pivotal role in the multidisciplinary team, serving as both a direct care provider and a clinical authority. Key responsibilities include:
  • Formulating and executing clinical practice guidelines.
  • Actively participating as a vital member of the clinical pathway team.
  • Upholding established standards of care through ongoing staff development and clinical enhancement initiatives.
  • Providing education to both patients and staff in areas such as Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiology, Cardiac Rehabilitation, and Heart Failure Disease Management.

Qualifications Required
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in the relevant nursing specialty.
  • Possession of a current, unrestricted Registered Professional Nurse license in Georgia.
  • American Heart Association BLS Certification is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications
  • National Certification in a Clinical Specialty.
