Financial Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at First Atlantic Federal Credit Union. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in providing financial, credit, and risk analysis to support our organization's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze historical and current financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare regular financial highlights and management discussion & analysis (MD&A) for our financial packages.
• Lead on asset liability management review to ensure accuracy and timely processing/reporting.
• Perform peer performance reviews and evaluate results against peer benchmarks.
• Prepare monthly concentration risk review files and timely report findings to management.
• Review and report on the loan portfolio to identify and evaluate potential risk concerns and recommend strategies to mitigate such risks.
• Quarterly credit score review and subsequent adjustments to reduce credit lines, as needed.
• Regular review of indirect dealers' performance and watchlist, including processing dealer fee calculations and finalizing subsequent payments.
• Provide support to business development/small business with review of business financials and credit memos prepared for potential business loans.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• 2+ years of experience in banking/financial institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Proven proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and financial software applications.
• Excellent reporting, presenting, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
