Reports To: Food and Beverage Manager
Position Purpose
The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the bar operations, which includes the preparation, serving, and sale of beverages.
General Description of Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the bar.
Serve alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner.
Possess a strong understanding of alcohol awareness and safety practices.
Maintain an initial cash bank and ensure accurate reconciliation at the end of each shift.
Demonstrate knowledge in drink mixing and pricing strategies.
Follow established opening and closing procedures efficiently.
Exhibit a commitment to exceptional customer service and enjoy engaging with patrons.
Promote daily specials, buffets, and upsell cocktails effectively.
Support wait staff to ensure timely service.
Keep the bar fully stocked with necessary supplies.
Ensure cleanliness by emptying trash receptacles and tidying the work area at the end of the shift.
Train fellow bartenders to maintain high service standards and customer satisfaction.
Be knowledgeable about bar equipment and ensure it is kept in good working order.
Experience / Education / Certification Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Must possess local health and alcohol awareness certification.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. to waist height.
Frequent bending, turning, kneeling, and stooping are required.
Exposure to varying temperatures is expected.
Must be able to stand for extended periods.
Repetitive motions, including computer entry, are necessary.
Ability to operate a golf cart safely is required.
Normal vision and hearing ranges are necessary.
Fluency in speaking and writing the English language is required.
