Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. As a key member of our Software and Controls Engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software to control machinery, as well as coordinating activities to evaluate and resolve product or process-related problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Development: Design, develop, and test software to control machinery, including algorithms to refine performance and the communication, aggregation, and display of relevant data to the user in a web or mobile format.
  • Problem-Solving: Coordinate activities to evaluate and resolve product or process-related problems, working closely with other engineering individuals and manufacturing teams.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in team-based creation of requirements, specifications, architecture, and design of software for machine control or use of data from machines.
  • Documentation: Maintain software documentation and resources, including release notes, system specifications, and design documentation.
  • Concept Development: Develop and document concepts and ideas for implementation of new and/or improved products, verifying them through analytical tools and/or concept-level prototype testing.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience: Five (5) or more years of direct/relevant experience in software development, with expertise in various programming languages (C, C#, Python, JavaScript, JSX, HTML, and CSS).
  • Technical Skills: Experience with AWS and/or Azure, programming of PLCs or microcontrollers, and B&R Automation Studio is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting capabilities, effective communication skills, and the ability to multitask and think creatively.
