We are seeking an experienced educator to join our team as a teacher at one of our all-boys public charter schools in Knoxville, Tennessee.
About the RoleAs a teacher at our school, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing instruction aligned to national and state content standards.
- Develop and implement highly effective lesson plans tailored to students' needs
- Communicate specific learning objectives to students and administer student assessments
- Capture student attention through active involvement and foster a motivating learning-centered culture
You will be part of a well-structured and managed classroom environment that promotes high academic achievement and excellence.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver instruction aligned to national and state content standards
- Enact the curriculum using evidence-based instructional practices tailored to students' needs
- Establish clear content and language objectives for all lessons
- Foster a motivating, supportive, learning-centered culture of excellence
You will work with students who have varying levels of English proficiency and need a teacher who can effectively communicate and support their academic growth.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
- Current ESL certification through the State of Tennessee
- Self-starter with a high level of personal integrity and professionalism
- Unwavering commitment to high academic achievement and high expectations of all students
A competitive salary and benefits package including a hybrid 401k and pension plan through the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System. The estimated annual salary is $72,500.
