Job Summary

Guidehouse is seeking a highly skilled Financial Crimes Compliance Investigator to join our team. As a key member of our Financial Crimes Compliance function, you will play a critical role in mitigating risks associated with financial crimes and suspicious activity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and/or Fraud alert/case reviews to identify and mitigate potential financial crimes risks.
  • Apply research and analytical techniques to analyze complex information sets and make logical determinations regarding suspicious activity.
  • Conduct end-to-end reviews of potential illegal or suspicious activity, including OFAC Sanctions violations, Anti-Money Laundering activity, and Fraud.
  • Assess customer profiles and client data to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with Acceptable Use Policy and Know Your Customer requirements.
  • Document findings and prepare updates for Project Managers/Team Leads as necessary.
  • Make determinations and draft Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines, including BSA, OFAC, and FinCEN guidance.
  • Experience working with manual and system-generated alerts/cases for the detection of potentially suspicious activity.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to detect and mitigate red flags for potential financial crime.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
