QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in agriculture or a related discipline with 2 to 5 years of experience in agricultural production, including prior supervisory roles.
  • Previous experience in Crop Management is required; experience with Sugar Beets is advantageous.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking an Agronomy Operations Supervisor for a reputable seed company located in the Pacific Northwest.

We are looking for an individual who is a dedicated team player, hardworking, and eager to contribute to the company’s objectives and forecasts.

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee sugar beet seed fields, ensuring the production of pure, high-yielding, and quality seed.

The successful candidate will also cultivate a productive relationship with all seed growers, ensuring that all expectations are met and understood, while effectively communicating within all contractual agreements.

Responsibilities include creating and maintaining field maps for all production, recording data in SAP, and generating necessary reports.

Adherence to the company handbook, roles, guidelines, procedures, and safety policies is expected, along with ensuring that all personal protective equipment (PPE) is utilized correctly.

The role requires travel and driving on behalf of the company. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, stability, and references. The location offers a favorable environment for families, with access to good schools and a variety of activities.
