Clemson University is seeking highly skilled production professionals to fill multiple House Manager roles as they become available. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our performing arts productions, events, and external rentals.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate Pre-Performance Operations
- Supervise volunteer ushers and assign responsibilities for each performance
- Review safety training and ensure ushers are familiar with the seating chart
- Distribute programs to patrons and ensure accurate seating
- Test ticket scanners and confirm show time and length with the box office staff
- Oversee Safety Procedures
- Ensure front-of-house safety procedures are in place
- Communicate with the production manager to assist with emergency procedures
- Maintain current AED/CPR certification
- Coordinate Operations with Other Managers
- Communicate with production manager to close the house and seat latecomers
- Work with production manager to ensure the performance begins on time
- Assist Box Office Manager and staff as needed
- A high school diploma and experience or additional education in production or specialty areas
- CPR/AED training (provided)
