About the JobThis Employee Benefits Client Associate role is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team and contribute to the success of our Employee Benefit Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the department in all aspects of new business placement, renewal, and service throughout the policy term.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to requests for assistance on existing coverage and/or new policies.
- Obtain and process enrollment forms, change forms or benefit summaries as determined by client need.
- Facilitate renewals and new business as directed by the Department Manager.
- Demonstrate knowledge in rating applications and procedures for all types of group policies. Use web sites to obtain information as necessary to assist clients.
- Demonstrate understanding of employee benefit programs and coverage and the ability to communicate effectively with potential and existing clients (and their employees) regarding these benefit programs.
The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, Ross & Yerger offers comprehensive health and welfare benefits, continuing education reimbursement, and generous Paid Time Off.
Requirements and Qualifications- A 4-year college degree is preferred. A Life & Health License is required within 6 months of employment and a satisfactory employment record is necessary.
- A minimum of two years' experience in employee benefits, customer service, or a similar position is required.
- Proficiency in both verbal and written forms of communication is essential. Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is also necessary.
- A self-starter with the ability to self-manage workload and ensure group accounts are satisfied with Ross & Yerger and their insurance carriers is required.
- Attention to detail, charisma, professionalism, and a willingness to learn and become a Client Manager are essential.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, and deadline-sensitive environment is necessary.
