About the Role:

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a highly motivated individual to support the Hot Section Module Center South as a Hole Drill Process Manufacturing Engineer. This role involves working with technologies such as Laser and EDM hole drilling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement process improvements for new product introductions and development parts.
  • Collaborate with design engineering and Integrated Product Teams to ensure effective process implementation.
  • Track and analyze data to understand process capability and make informed decisions.
  • Implement new capital equipment from specification to delivery, installation, and release to production.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections and control manufacturing software.
  • Interact with hourly workforce, tool designers, quality assurance, and other teams to ensure effective process implementation.
  • Identify and implement shop floor process optimization and control methods to eliminate/prevent QCPC turn backs/escapes and reduce overall assembly costs.
  • Develop and maintain shop floor work instructions, including specifications, engineering changes, QAD/process control, and tooling definition/requirements.
  • Provide leadership in eliminating EH&S/Ergonomics/Human Factors risks and addressing quality issues.
  • Participate in CORE/lean manufacturing initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required with 2+ years' experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Proficiency in GD&T, blueprint reading, and Siemens NX – Drafting, modeling, CAM.
  • NC Programming and Statistical Process Control skills.
  • Lean Manufacturing, ACE, CORE, Six Sigma, Red X, RCCA, problem-solving, and process control methodologies.
  • Machining knowledge – Grinding, milling, drilling, EDM, Laser drilling.
  • General knowledge of NC machines, spindles, axis, drives, scales (FANUC or Siemens).
  • Technical writing and communications skills.

What We Offer:

Pratt & Whitney offers a competitive salary range of $64,000 - $128,000, depending on experience. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit and whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
