Position Overview:

This role involves a variety of cleaning tasks aimed at maintaining a pristine environment for residents. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 1 PM, with alternating weekends off.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning of resident accommodations.
  • Maintain cleanliness in communal areas including hallways and elevators.
  • Organize and manage the housekeeping supply area.
  • Follow safety protocols when handling cleaning supplies and chemicals.
  • Assist colleagues with comprehensive cleaning projects.
  • Notify maintenance of any repair needs or replacement issues.
  • Participate in additional tasks as required.

Essential Qualifications:

Applicants should possess the ability to effectively communicate with staff, residents, and their families. Regular updates to the Housekeeping Supervisor regarding tasks requiring attention are expected. Candidates must demonstrate focus, comprehension, and retention of task-related instructions, along with a commitment to supporting the mission of Park Village Pines.

Physical Demands:

  • Capability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to maneuver carts weighing between 50-75 lbs across various surfaces.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, and climbing stairs is required.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for the entirety of an 8-hour shift.
  • Wearing gloves and other protective gear is necessary.
  • Ability to read small print on equipment and documentation.
  • Regular exposure to materials while utilizing personal protective equipment.
  • Familiarity with the safe handling of hazardous cleaning agents such as soaps and disinfectants.
