About the Role

At First County Bank, we are seeking a highly skilled Credit Analyst to join our Commercial Credit Administration team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in evaluating and managing credit risk for commercial loans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Credit Analysis: Perform thorough credit analyses and underwriting functions for commercial loans, including evaluating financial statements, loan covenant compliance, and credit risk.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with Business Banking Loan Officers, Portfolio Managers, and Commercial Credit team members to ensure seamless credit risk administration.
  • Loan Origination and Underwriting: Assist in the origination and underwriting of commercial loans, including gathering due diligence requirements and preparing loan presentations.
  • Portfolio Management: Maintain a portfolio of loans for annual review and covenant assessment, driving the loan renewal process and identifying cross-selling opportunities.
  • Risk Management: Identify and escalate credit issues in a timely and appropriate manner, providing recommendations for remediation as needed.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate and comprehensive credit files, including loan and collateral documentation, and prepare reports for the Board of Directors.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, or related field, plus 2-5 years of experience in commercial credit analysis and commercial construction loans.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Formal credit training, knowledge of accounting principles and practices, credit terminology, loan and collateral documentation, and credit/financial analysis techniques.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Abrigo loan origination and credit administration modules, with experience in commercial appraisals and reviews.
  • Soft Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to prioritize and multitask.
What We Offer
