Job Summary

We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our team at AMR in Bay Shore. As an EMT, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and emergency medical services to our community.

Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough assessments of patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
  • Documentation and Confidentiality: Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
  • Environment and Safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
  • Operational Responsibilities: Operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow EMTs.
Requirements
  • Age and Education: Must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Certifications and Licenses: Must be able to obtain Suffolk certification by the end of orientation, have a State Driver's License, State EMT certification, CPR/BLS certification, and a driving record in compliance with company policy.
  • Physical Ability and Experience: Must pass the Physical Ability Test (PAT) and have some work experience, preferably in healthcare.
