Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dispatcher to join our team at AMR Corp. As a Dispatcher, you will play a critical role in receiving, recording, and effectively managing requests for ambulance assistance/transport from various sources.

Responsibilities
  • Implement the concepts of Emergency Medical Dispatch as published in Principles of Emergency Medical Dispatch, ensuring a minimum standard of care.
  • Allocate EMS resources properly, applying decision-making rules and approved protocols to ensure efficient response.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of paperwork related to your position, including data entry for the shift and State Run Report data entry.
  • Generate reports and check for accuracy, maintaining a current working knowledge of company policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and memorandums.
  • Assist in locating scenes of incidents and selecting the safest, fastest route to such scenes using all available locator aids.
  • Relay instructions from supervisors, messages, and emergency information to ensure seamless communication.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimal medical training or telecommunications experience, or at least one year's experience as an EMS or public safety dispatcher.
  • Skilled in reading and writing English.
  • Ability to communicate clearly on the radio and telephone.
  • Ability to record, transmit, and report information accurately.
