About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Private Duty Nurse to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing one-on-one care to our patients in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage patient care plans in accordance with physician orders
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed
  • Document patient care and progress in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on health promotion and disease management
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure seamless transitions of care
Requirements
  • Active, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
  • Current CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • TB skin test (current within the last 12 months)
  • At least six months of prior hands-on nursing experience (preferred but not required)
  • Reliable transportation
