Job Summary:

Nelson-Jameson is seeking a skilled Relief Driver to join our team. As a Relief Driver, you will be responsible for delivering orders to customers, picking up stock at vendors, maintaining equipment, and performing other related delivery functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Order Delivery and Pickup: Safely transport goods to customers and vendors, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain company vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Inventory Management: Accurately receive and process inventory, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner.
  • Logistics and Scheduling: Collaborate with the logistics team to plan and coordinate delivery routes, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Warehouse Operations: Assist with warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping inventory.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including those related to hazardous materials and transportation.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school degree or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of previous semi-driving experience, with a valid Class A CDL and HAZMAT endorsement.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Lifting and Carrying: Frequently lift and/or move up to 56#, occasionally lift and/or move more than 75#, and infrequently push/pull greater than 115#.
