Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in our outpatient surgery center. As a Registered Nurse, you will assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Provide peers with verbal and written feedback on clinical practice and role performance, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Share knowledge and skills with colleagues, fostering a positive work environment that promotes effective communication, trust, and collaboration.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate clinical care or health services, promoting patient safety and quality initiatives.
• Participate in department-specific quality initiatives, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and national patient safety goals.
• Supervise, delegate, and evaluate assigned LPN scope of practice, ensuring optimal patient care and staff development.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, evaluate, and implement patient care plans, ensuring individualized and culturally sensitive care.
• Analyze patient reports and records, notifying physicians and supervisors as needed, and intervening appropriately to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Accept assignments in areas outside primary units, performing duties within individualized competency, and demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Promote advancement of the profession through participation in professional organizations, seeking formal and independent learning activities to maintain and develop clinical and professional skills.
• Participate in systematic peer review, obtaining informal feedback on practice, and identifying areas for professional development.
• Meet time and attendance guidelines, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
• Place patients at the center of care, continuously evaluating and assessing patient and family satisfaction, and performing as an advocate for patients and customers.
• Participate in department-specific patient satisfaction initiatives, promoting compassionate communication and patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

• Completed RN training program and have PA RN licensure or have applied for practice permit.
• CPR Certification.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in area of specialty.
