Job Summary:

Crown Equipment Corporation, a leading manufacturer of lift trucks, is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing Crown and other makes of lift trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues on lift trucks
  • Perform routine maintenance on customer equipment, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake adjustments
  • Maintain a clean and organized service van, ensuring all necessary tools and equipment are readily available
  • Process paperwork and documentation after each job, ensuring accurate and timely completion

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, with knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer care
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Technical degree or previous experience in lift truck repair, welding, or related field
