POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsible for the creation and shaping of molds using ceramic materials.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Examine work orders to determine required tools.
  • Clean mold tools and apply a releasing agent.
  • Fill mold tools with ceramic material, inject gas, and cure the mandrel.
  • Utilize hand tools to remove tooling from the ceramic mandrel.
  • Smooth, sand, and correct any defects prior to the layup stage.
  • Wash ceramic from composite parts after the layup process.
  • Remove tape and debris from the inner duct.
  • Take responsibility for individual work outcomes.
  • Carry out other related tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

A high school diploma, equivalent certification, or bronze level WorkKeys certification is required.

0-6 months of experience in composites or a related field is essential.

This role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, subject to applicable terms and conditions. Textron Aviation reserves the right to modify or discontinue this program at any time.

Become part of the Textron Aviation Kansas team and may qualify for a Kansas state Aviation tax credit over a five-year period.
